Tesfaye Bekele is the founder and operating manager of the Suke Quto farm, which is home to 50-60 producer share-holders. His farm is Rainforest Alliance and Organic certified. After a devastating bush fire in early 2000's, Tesfaye recruited 150 neighboring producers to replant the farm, and was able to restructure the farm to earn its certifications. With this, Tesfaye accomplished his dream with the Suke Quto Farm: developing environmentally friendly coffee, and sustaining the local community with a consistent income. The local smallholders harvest organic coffee and deliver it to Suke Quto Farm for processing.
